Franklin Law Group, is pleased to announce that Charles R. Franklin was selected as a 2020 Super Lawyer and Craig M. Capilla was recognized as a 2020 Super Lawyers Rising Star in Illinois. This is the second consecutive year Mr. Franklin has been selected and the third time Mr. Capilla has been named to the list.
Only 5 percent of lawyers in the state of Illinois are selected as Super Lawyers following a multiphase selection process which includes peer nominations and evaluations, and independent research. Two and a half percent of Illinois lawyers 40 years or younger or in practice less than ten years are selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list each year.
Charles Franklin is the founder of Franklin Law Group. He is a litigator and concentrates his practice in the areas of professional liability and license defense and insurance coverage and related matters. Admitted to practice in Illinois, the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois and Northern District of Indiana, and the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, Mr. Franklin has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts as well as before administrative and regulatory bodies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and obtained his J.D. from The University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Franklin is a member of the North Suburban Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and serves on the Board of the Future Institute – an advisory group to the Concept Schools system of over thirty charter schools located throughout the Midwest.
Craig Capilla concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, professional liability defense, and professional licensing law with a strong focus on representing real estate professionals and businesses. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from the University of Michigan and earned his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law. Mr. Capilla is admitted to practice law in both Illinois and Wisconsin, as well as in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern District of Wisconsin, and Northern District of Indiana, and before the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals, National Association of Appraisers, Chicago Association of Realtors, Illinois Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors, among others. Mr. Capilla is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Wisconsin State Bar Association.
